§         American Academy of Neurology Home Page - Includes academic materials and practice parameters regarding dementia, ergotamine use, neurological rating scales, clinical trials, etc.

§         American Academy of Pain Medicine - The American Academy of Pain Medicine (AAPM) is the recognized authority on the evaluation and care of patients with pain as a symptom of disease and primary pain diseases. The specialty of Pain Medicine is concerned with the study of pain, its prevention, and pain evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation.

§         BioSites Neurology page - "BioSites is a current listing of important Internet resources in the biomedical sciences. The sites evaluated here have been selected as part of a collaborative project by staff in the Resource Libraries within the Pacific Southwest Region of the National Network of Libraries of Medicine." BioSites makes it easier to locate the best Internet resources on a given topic.

§         CliniWeb Nervous System Diseases page - CliniWeb, a project at Oregon Health Sciences University, is an index and table of contents to over 2,500 websites of clinical information. Keyword search or brow through the MeSH heirarchy. CliniWeb is well researched and current.

§         CliniWeb Nervous System page - Provides atlases of the brain and spinal cord. Provides tutorials, atlases, and anatomical information of the brain, spinal cord and peripheral nervous system.

§         Galaxy Medicine Nervous System Diseases page - This is a free multi-disciplinary web directory funded through banner advertising and sponsorships. It is one of the oldest browsable/searchable web directories on the Internet. Extensive listings are comprehensive but are NOT reviewed for quality. Galaxy lists over a hundred neurology Web sites.

§         HealthWeb : Neurology - "HealthWeb provides links to specific, evaluated information resources... selected by librarians... at leading academic medical centers in the Midwest." Working together within their “areas of excellence,” they have chosen and critically evaluated a small group of non-commercial resources, rather than providing an exhaustive index.

§         Medical Matrix - Medical Matrix is a comprehensive, clinically oriented database designed to be a "home page" for physicians. Sites are authoritative, peer reviewed, annotated, frequently updated and ranked according to a 5-star rating system. Medical Matrix is authored by Gary Malet, a family physician and Lee Hancock, an educational technologist. The Editorial Board members are drawn from the American Medical Informatics Association's Internet Working Group. First-time use may require registration passwords. Select the topic from menus or perform a subject search.

§         MEDLINEplus: Brain and Nervous System Topics - The National Library of Medicine's MEDLINEplus pages provide a carefully selected list of resources, not a comprehensive catalog. They are designed to direct users to resources containing information that will help them research their health questions. Neurology topics at MEDLINEplus include pages on amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, dementia, epilepsy, headache and migraine, multiple sclerosis and seizures.

§         MEDWEB @ EMORY UNIVERSITY - A very comprehensive page maintained at Emory University, this site offers a categorized list with links to hundreds of sites, as well as links to employment opportunities, medical equipment and products, societies and associations, and much more. Select "Browse by Keyword" and then click on the specific topic desired.

§         Muscular Dystrophy Association - The MDA is one of the world's leading voluntary health agencies, founded to combat 40 neuromuscular diseases with a worldwide research effort, a nationwide program of medical services, and professional and public health education.

§         National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke Home Page - NINDS, established in 1950, conducts and supports research and research training on the causes,prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of neurological disorders and stroke. The Institute awards grants for research projects, program projects, and center grants; provides training support, conducts research; and collects and disseminates research information.

§         Neuroanatomy & Neuropathology on the Internet - Online neuropathology atlas, quiz, links to educational materials in anatomy, histology, pathology, information about books, journals and software and more. §         Neuromuscular & CNS Syndromes - Textbook of briefs on inherited and acquired diseases of the neuromuscular junction, and central nervous system. Washington.

§         Neurosciences on the Internet - Contains a searchable index of neurobiology, cognitive science, neurosurgery, psychiatry, psychology and neurology sites, including basic science and clinical fields. There is a separate section listing information available on human neurological diseases.. A good starting point.

§         Whole Brain Atlas - A catalog of electronic pictures of the human brain.
