§         2000-2001 University of Michigan Pathology Laboratories Handbook - Maintained by the University of Michigan Department of Pathology, this page offers a search engine which allows you to look up specific tests and how they are used.

§         ASCP Online - The American Society of Clinical Pathologists maintains this site, which gives information about pathological conditions, and offers a membership list, a list of publications, etc.

§         BioSites Pathology page - "BioSites is a current listing of important Internet resources in the biomedical sciences. The sites evaluated here have been selected as part of a collaborative project by staff in the Resource Libraries within the Pacific Southwest Region of the National Network of Libraries of Medicine." BioSites makes it easier to locate the best Internet resources on a given topic.

§         Diagnostic Test Information Server - This is an experimental resource which will allow you to look up information on diagnostic tests.

§         HealthWeb: Laboratory Medicine and Pathology - This resource is a collaborative effort between the Library of the Health Sciences at the University of Illinois - Chicago and the "Big Ten" universities Committee on Institutional Cooperation. "HealthWeb provides links to specific, evaluated information resources... selected by librarians... at leading academic medical centers in the Midwest." Working together within their “areas of excellence,” they have chosen and critically evaluated a small group of non-commercial resources, rather than providing an exhaustive index.

§         Internet Resources for Pathology and Laboratory Medicine - A very comprehensive site maintained by the University of Michigan, this offers links to regulatory agencies, many other web sites, listservs, Usenet groups, laboratory medicine resources, and even a job list.

§         MEDLINEplus - The National Library of Medicine's MEDLINEplus pages provide a carefuly selected list of resources, not a comprehensive catalog. They are designed to direct users to resources containing information that will help them research their health questions.

The "Pathology" topic at MEDLINEplus includes separate pages such as hypthermia and seizures.

§         MLabs Handbook - Maintained by Department of Pathology of the University of Michigan Health System. This page offers a search engine which allows you to look up specific tests and how they are interpreted.

§         PathWeb Search Engine - Sponsored by the Pathology Department of the University of Connecticut Health Center. Wide in scope, well documented and easy to use, it includes a specimen site map, disease processes, etc.
