  • Ask NOAH About: Arthritis and Rheumatic Disease - A cooperative project of the City University of New York, the Metropolitan New York Library Council, the New York Academy of Medicine and the New York Public Library, NOAH seeks to provide high quality full-text health information for consumers that is accurate, timely, relevant, and unbiased. NOAH currently supports English and Spanish.

  • HealthWeb : Rheumatology - This resource is a collaborative effort between the Library of the Health Sciences at the University of Illinois - Chicago and the "Big Ten" universities Committee on Institutional Cooperation. "HealthWeb provides links to specific, evaluated information resources... selected by librarians... at leading academic medical centers in the Midwest." Working together within their “areas of excellence,” they have chosen and critically evaluated a small group of non-commercial resources, rather than providing an exhaustive index.
  • MEDLINEPlus Arthritis - The National Library of Medicine's MEDLINEplus pages provide a carefully selected list of resources, not a comprehensive catalog. They are designed to direct users to resources containing information that will help them research their health questions. MEDLINEplus also includes pages on anti-inflammatory drugs, nonsteroidal (systemic); rheumatoid arthritis; juvenile rheumatoid arthritis; and other rheumatic conditions and treatments.

  • National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS) - “The National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS) is one component of the National Institutes of Health, the principal biomedical research agency of the United States Government. The NIAMS conducts and supports basic, clinical, and epidemiologic research and research training and disseminates information on many of the most debilitating diseases affecting the Nation's health. These diseases include the many forms of arthritis and diseases of the musculoskeletal system and the skin. The Institute also conducts and supports basic research on the normal structure and function of joints.”

  • Pediatric Rheumatology Page - This site contains a lot of textual information on the different rheumatologic conditions and can affect pediatric patients. Web site creator, Thomas J. A. Lehman, MD of the Division of Pediatric Rheumatology, The Hospital for Special Surgery, New York, NY divides the information into information aimed at Physicians (including when to refer patients to a pediatric rheumatologist) and Patient and Family Information aimed at the educated consumer.
